I find that most gmnpc shops, and even many npc shops have a sign in thier shop detailing information that customers would want to know.
These signs usually fit many many lines of text, 5-30 or more, and are very helpful in the npc shops they are in.
I find that i would like to also post a similar notice of information detailing answers to common questions, or informing the customer of how best to get ahold of me (eg dont gweth, to find use a fam or locate, etc)
I am unsure why this feature doesn't already exist, as it seems to be an obvious standard for such a function as shops.

You can buy notecards from one of the trader shops or sheets of paper from the rakash village to put on the tables, some people do that :)

There are plans "soon" to make the counter space more usable, I'm sure those types of things will go there then :)

>>I am unsure why this feature doesn't already exist, as it seems to be an obvious standard for such a function as shops.
Largely because there were other more obvious standard functions for shops to write. I have plans to add the ability to write things on the items you have for sale, but have patience.
>>I thought it did, but i find sometimes i spend alot time in the backroom preparing goods, and i dont want my customers or potential customers thinking they can find me in the shop because of the board, then not be able to find me cause i'm in the backroom for hours on end.
Another thing I want to do is add a sort of 'doorbell' thingie that will notify you if somebody enters your shop while you're in the backroom.
Right now, I'm not working on Shop things - Skills 3.0, Magic 3.0, Combat 3.0, and the trimmings around all three have my primary focus because I want to get it done. When I come back to shops, I've got a bit long list of things I want to do to make them more user-friendly and accomodating.
