Was wondering about something and i guess you have to manually move the items on a table...
I don't know how feasible it is but, maybe a random shuffle option? or maybe
sort by alphabetical name(primary noun- broadsword, cape, knife), or sort by price.
Don't know if it really would make a difference or help any- maybe with gweths, juggling things, and similiar weapons?

Wouldn't a random shuffle option just be exactly what we have now? It seems like inventory just randomly rearranges itself every time I'm not looking :)
What I would love love love is the ability to set the order by doing a SELL ITEM ON <SURFACE> FOR X IN SLOT <1-20> and then have them always stay in that order that I put them. Would make things soooooo much easier and I wouldn't need a stupid script to figure out which items are missing.
I'd settle for an option to sort alphabetically, that could definitely be made to work almost like I mentioned above. That would be pretty great

an addition to that suggestion.. and I dunno if its possible for player owned shops, but a rotating surface? Maybe make it a high level ability where we could get a spare surface in the back that links to a surface in the front and we hire a worker to randomly change things during the day?
