I want to encourage more brainstorming for Trader titles.

My goal is that each guild should have roughly 200 Guild Titles to choose from. Currently, Traders have less than 100, so we have a ways to go!

I know its going to be challenging, but let's try coming up with some more!

Plat Seller
Sleepwalker
Never Gets Bored
Money Grubber
Greedy
Economist
Supplier
Yak Follower
Smelly
Too Lazy To Walk
Caravan Rider
Caravan Whisperer
Whipmaster
Briber
Trades-a-lot
Gem Inspector
Master Barterer

If you really want a ton with no effort, just use DR languages. Some of those will turn out cool looking, and people might mistake traders for a dangerous guild because they can't translate.

hehe. i can see my trader in TF. Greedy Greeddy.

moneygrubber is already a trader title.

here's a few.

Shopper.

And i'd like to see ones wouldn't have a trading requirement, it would have a requirement of having traded sufficiently in the commodities market.

Also I'd like to see specific titles for having done at least 1000 trades with an Outpost. Any way that can be done? For instance, Muspar'ian Trader Bagsodoks just arrived...

I don't know if this is a title already but what about gambler.... and speaking of which... Why oh why can we not have any casinos, or card games, or ANY games other than very few slots. If we had any casino or anything I don't think Eddrik would ever be on the road again.

I noticed in the titles there are no titles between 160 and 260 in Trading. Perhaps we should try and keep that in mind? Just a thought.

I was re-reading "The Life of St. Louis" this morning and it mentioned "Master Mariners." We already have Mariner as a Trader title, let's throw this one in too.

Sort of. I suggested Merchant Marine/Marine Merchant in this same thread. Same thing, really, and if not we already have Mariner and similar "trader with a boat" titles.

What about a title for trading something like 1000 contracts in each Provence. And then a title if you trade 1000 in all the outposts. Something like Trader of Ilithi or ya know if you get 5000 contracts something like Supplier of Ilithi. And if you do all 5 provences for like 1000 for each outpost in all 5 you get like World Trader or Wandering Merchant. Just some ideas...

I was looking up Magnate in the thesaurus and I got the following:
Related words: big shot, bigwig, figure, nabob, notable, personage, VIP; celebrity, personality, star; moneybags, plutocrat.
Synonyms: baron, czar (also tsar or tzar).

Some of the above won't apply but some might. I was thinking also Peer of the Realm, but that might be more along the lines of a Citizen title.

Also, here is the link to look at current Trader Titles: http://www.play.net/dr/info/guilds/tradertitles.asp

Here is an interesting possible title.

Cadge
As long ago as the 1400s, peddlers traveled the British countryside, each with a packhorse or a horse and cart, first carrying produce from rural farms to town markets, then returning with small wares to sell to country folk. The Middle English name for such traders was "cadgear". At its most general, "cadger" meant "carrier," and the verb "cadge" meant "to carry." More specifically, the verb meant to go about as a cadger or peddler. By the 1800s, it was used when someone who posed as a peddler turned out to be more of a beggar, from which arose our present-day use

Id also like to see some hunting/stealth related titles. Not really sure what they could be though.

Also...why can traders not counterfit money? I think we should be able to given enough mech lore, stealing and trading.... I mean come on... we deal with so much some of the shadier traders (which of course wouldn't be me) might ya know artifically inflate their bank accounts...

It was a suggested cooperative creation system between the Thieves guild and the Trader guild a long time ago, but I do not believe there has been any follow up on it.

I was watching Jeremiah Johnson the other day (most rangerly actually) and reflected upon the Riverboat men that explored and traded in the early 19th century.

Now some of those titles are naturally more fitted to a Ranger but something like:

Riverman
River Runner
Rapids Runner
Rum Runner
Whiskey Runner
Voyager (perhaps River Voyager)
River Trader
River Captain
River Rat
Whiskey Boater
Poleman
River Pilot
River Guide
Rapids Guide
River Scout
Rapids Scout
River Rider
Rapids Rider
Rafter
"White Water" could also be substituted for Rapids.

Or you could just throw Arcane in front of 'em all :)
