Hey there everybody,
After playing in Plat for quite a while now, I'm thinking about potentialy coming back to Prime, and I'm just curious about the differences I might encounter in my favorite aspect of trading, running commods. A good percentage of the time (85% or so) in Plat when I'm running commods I'm the only trader doing so and as such I don't generaly have to worry about others getting a good sale before I do, etc. If there are any traders in prime who use the commod pits on a regular basis and are around my circle I'm very curious as to how my profits over there (plat) stack up to the profit to be made over here (prime). Anyway, I'm currently just over 12th circle and have just over 50 plat in my bank account in Plat, very nearly all of it from running commods (I did run about 50 zoluren contracts at one point just to see what it was like, but the profit margin was so abyssimal by comparison that I haven't done a contract since). While running the commods in Plat I average between 2.5 and 5 plat an hour and constantly keep my trading bewildered - mind locked, so I'm very curious what the experience of a similar trader in Prime would be. Sorry for rambling in this post.

Despite the ability to make money and the vast amount of trading it teaches, people in Prime use commodities only sporadically. I tend to when I'm close to a circle, and I'm the only one doing them.
I think you'd find the experience very similiar to Plat. I would even wager that people use commodities less here, because the economy is so much better. There are dozens of ways to get rich, rather than just two (commods and contrats, in Plat).
Plus, you'll be able to circle faster and carry more blocks of commodities because there are TEACHERS in Prime.

Commods are the only way that I gain experience. I generally make about a 7 gk or so per trip. My trader is currently circle 17. I can continue trading commods for about an hour or so before the market prices vs. demand becomes too minute to bother with, then Ill either work on other skills or log out for a few hours until the market is back to normal again.
