So this has been happening a lot on arm-detroying hits.
I'm not sure if it's an Orc thing or a Rimefang thing...
An icy blade circling you lands a strong hit to a red bear orc reiver's right arm!
The orc reiver swears crudely as his arm falls to the ground.
The reiver's steel broadsword falls to the ground.
The orc reiver swears crudely as his arm falls to the ground.

I'm begining to suspect this is a problem with area attacks in general...

Is there any consistancy to which spells/creatures this happens with? Mostly I see it reported for orcs. Also the Drakes thing I'm fairly sure is a different problem...

I know this is a different problem entirely, but since we're on the subject of creatures with duplicated messaging... snow goblins still have duplicated messaging when pointing you out of hiding:
A beefy snow goblin slowly turns about, narrowing its eyes suspiciously.
A beefy snow goblin has spotted you!
The snow goblin points a large frozen club at you, ruining your hiding place, and exclaims, "Goh!"
The snow goblin points a large frozen club at you, ruining your hiding place, wearing an expression of extreme Goblin satisfaction.

FWIW, I recall this bug has been posted several times over the years. so I don't think it is specific to those spells since they didn't exist back then. I want to say that every time it has been posted it has always been the orcs in and around Rossman's, although that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't affect another less hunted and therefore less reported creature as well.

I had USOL doing that all the time.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Yeah, I realized after I said that that cyclic isn't really what I meant.
Anyhow I'm far down the rabbit hole now trying to find the problem. Not sure why it's so consistently reported as an orc problem when it turns out it has nothing to do with them.

i think the giants that throw boulders, and sluaghs might do this? it's been awhile
i know the giants would shout their catch phrase every time you threw something at them when they should only do it when they toss it at you I think
