It's been awhile since I saw any interest in these, and I've forgotten exactly what each is supposed to encompass. <g> Sound off and state your missions and you might get a new member.

The Aether Cabal was on hold during the magic changes, because our main purpose was to study each aether type spell (and related issues) and get hardcore facts about them. That obviously wasn't possible when magic went away, and we were hoping that things would have been settled by now.
Since they're not, we are starting up again anyway. We won't be working on our definitive book on Aether Magics yet; instead, we will be studying the spells in their current form to help the GMs evaluate them. ICly, of course, our characters are just trying to learn 'the new rules.'
Our meetings have been very fun in the past, with an average of 6 attendees and a lot of IC discussion about what makes Aether tick. We don't have an internal hierarchy, with the idea that the cabal is a levelling field; everyone at the meetings is just a scholar working toward the same knowledge. The only 'titles' are when someone wants to take up a specific job, like Archivist (we have to replace Marietta, who left DR recently.) Some of our best research in the past was done by the lower level members.
Our website (being updated) is here: http://www.wilderun.net/aether
If this is your cup of tea, post on the site when your best meeting times are, and we'll be glad to see you.

Well, basically, I really like Electricity magic, and I have no idea what the cabal should cover. Well, I have a few, but I'd like input. My mission is to keep more members than Frog's Cabal. <cackles> We've got 2, potentially 3. Nah nah nah nahnah. <g>
-Zakarious, Storm Mage, still not sure what a Cabal was, but thinks he could make it into something people'd like to attend.

I agree. Basically I enjoy hitting things with big fat lightning bolts. Truth be told, when i was galavanting around in other guilds, I always came back for the LB.
As a member of the electricity cabal/guild thing, I motion that we blatently steal and shamelessly copy everything the Aether cabal has come up with, only cross out the silly aether junk and put in a real element.
More people will come if they think there is punch and pie. :)
I will bring punch and pie.
Frogspawn and his air-head guild will never have a chance!

3 members, ah hahahahahaaha. <glances about for Kantros> Now where's he off to now? lol, 2 members still beats the Air Cabal. <ponders joining the Air Cabal>
-Zakarious, Electric Cabal leader. Whatever then ends up meaning. <chuckles> I haven't even gotten my first meeting off... no one shows up.

Hey Katrenos, good to see ya bud. Ya missed the first meeting. <g> But I'm gonna have another to open the Electricity Cabal at some point. My biggest thing to try to get people to join is the lack of a mission. <g> I figure there's a few lightning lovers out there that'd just like to do certain things, or just hang out. Sorry about the name mix up, couldn't even find ya on the boards, been about 4 months. <g> And with my memory, yer lucky it still started with a "K".
-Zak, who will at some point, when work clears up a bit, have the second, and if no one shows up, final cabal meeting, until someone shows interest.
