We did have an aether one actually, it's a wolf, just noone ever got one. Sadly I recently lost a lot of my DR notes, and a clip of a GM waving a wolf talisman in my face and laughing evily.

and a chimera is a bad thing... there's a book on why it's bad.

Some of the odd ones:
There's a firebird in Muspar'i, a mural of a dolphin in Shard, and a celepeze hatchling on Mer'kresh, the rest (cougar, hawk, spider) are pretty normal compared to those.

IIRC, its the one in the Warrior Mage fortress near the gondola. It hangs out just outside the GL's room.
