Has anyone discovered what the "critical mass" is for avoiding quality loss?
I've been trying to think logically and it would seem logical that the size of the ingot would need to be greater than the crafting template being summoned. So maybe 15-20 volume is sufficient?
Any ideas?
at 530 Summoning, I currently use a 13 volume ingot and haven't seen any degrade yet
My main summoned weapon is Large Edge

You'll never lose volume. Instead, the volume of the ingot affects the chance to lose quality (your summoning skill also affects this). Quality doesn't affect the weapon, except that the ingot needs to be above a certain quality in order to be useable.

This sounds bad. There is supposed to be a small chance of quality loss regardless of skill/volume. How often are you summoning weapons?
P.S. I love that nobody is willing to test what the actual cut off is.
