i've been reading this thread and it seem like I have the standard question...
I've currently hunting black leucros and I think I am approaching their limits. It currently take 3-4 leucros to lock my skills so I figure I am almost ready to move on.
Here are my defenses:
LC: 209
Parry: 229
MO: 218
Evasion: 217
My offenses are a little low:
Short Bow: 181
TM: 177
Medium Blunt: 172
Medium Edge: 150
I've tried fendryads and swamp trolls...they moved evasion/parry but with any more than 2 I kept getting hit. Plus I had a tough time hitting the fendryads with anything by my bow or Mark of Arhat.
I prefer natural critters or critters I can tingle. It would be nice if I can earn some loot (leucros have been worthless in this respect, I haven't earned any coin in quite a while).
My perception is only 105 so I have a tough time with sneaky critters.
As far as spells I have all fire spells and all lightning spells. I have SuF and SW for defensive help. MoA is my favorite spell for killing.
Any thoughts on something to hunt? I've looked at some creature lists and it seems like fendryads and swamp trolls are about all that is in my range.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
On a side note, I think next circle I get a new spell. I am thinking about getting vertigo. Is this a worthwhile spell? It seems it would help me with my weapon training.

Your weapons will train well in snow goblins on Aesry, your defenses probably will not train much longer there. Hard cap for training TM and weapons in snow goblins is 230. Snow goblins drop loot, and they are skinnable, which makes them pretty profitable. They also come in three separate levels of difficulty, the deeper you go into the caverns the harder they get.

Undershard. Spire area of Undershard. You can still learn all your defences real well and you can tingle the things there. They teach all offences past 250 and pary real nice. Just have to have your SUF/SW up for the occasional Fenerea Stalker.
Can also do Red Leucros there too. Your guy is a bit wierd as his defences are far outpacing your offences even your TM!! It's usually the other way around.
Can also try the Bandits/War cats near Rossamans.

Are the critters tougher in the spire area than normal undershard? I've tried undershard, and for the most part the guys down there were too easy. I've fought plenty of Fenrae Stalkers on the streets of Shard (during invasions), and they always seemed relatively easy as well.
For now though I have been working on offenses. It seemed like I was getting into fights with things that couldn't hit me, but I could hit them either (Adan'f Warriors were like this until recently). I finally got my bow above 200 ranks though so I am looking to move on again. Red Leucros seem like an interesting idea, but I haven't tried them yet. They seem tough though.

IIRC, there are 4 "areas" to Undershard, each one harder than the one before.

Undershard, Gallery and Warrens.
Bottom cap: 80?
Top cap: 120
Coin, gem, box. Hide/ambush. Special nerve poison attack. Look to see what they carry.
Misericorde-using Thugs/Footpads/Ruffians/Cutthroats
Undershard, Gallery and Warrens.
Bottom cap: 120
Top cap: 150
Coin, gem, box. Hide/ambush. Special nerve poison attack. Look to see what they carry.

Rapier-and-oval-shield-using Thugs/Footpads/Ruffians/Cutthroats
Undershard, Spire.
Bottom cap: 230?
Top cap: ???
Coin, gem, box. hide/ambush. 120+ perception to see. Special nerve poison attack.
Faenrae Stalkers
Undershard, Warren, Gallery, and Spire.
Bottom cap: 270?

<<IIRC, there are 4 "areas" to Undershard, each one harder than the one before.
5 Now. The four he mentioned plus the Fenerea Assassin new area. That one is just under Adnaf Dancers but above regular Adnaf.
Warren area is smallest things its a maze and they cap at around 120.
Well area mix of smal to the ones up to 170 rank cap.
Gallery area only target shield missecorde wielding ones whose cap is around 150.
Spire area only Oval shiled Rapier wielding ones and the cap for those is somewhere around 270 slows down around 250 for weapons but can lear defences and armors to 270.
Fenerea Stalkers found in all areas BUT Warren the smallest area. They tougher than Adnaf and teach about same as them.
Oh also no Fenerea Stalkers in Fenerea Assassin area as they are small compared to the Assassins.

Hmm forgot to say can also try Arzumo out west of Shard near Horse Clan. And you can do Wormwood and Shadoweavers provided someone can escort you trough the Corics Gate. That aea will make your offence FLY to just over 200 in no time as its swarmy and EZE.
Considering your defences you can also try Golden Pards out north of Arzumos by Horse clan west of Shard.
OR you can go to the Hive and do Haversters/Slodiers Vyrkhati. Soldiers teach well past 200 and the area is War mage firendly lots of good mana and swarmy at a nice and steady pace.

If I remember correctly, both arzumos and pards are areas where you would want good Perception.
A while back I had made an arrangement with a Ranger to get me some bison skins, and he mentioned that he (or some other ranger/survival prime) was having trouble seeing the pards all the time with rsomething on the order of 230 ranks of Perception...
