Nektol, not to be a frostweaver, but please don't go saying that you have spoke with the Haven Pryde leaders, for you have not yet spoken with Felis who is the leader at this time. I am not the leader, have no desire to be a leader, just am around a bit more than he is and can relay information to him; and it is I you have spoken with. I am interested in your Pryde, but that is my interest alone. I am certain I made that clear, and that Felis and his Pryde would be the ones you need to speak with. Until you meet with Felis, do not assume their is no conflict of the Prydes. River's Pryde is still behind Vreeland 100%, and with your Pryde based out of Crossings and no word that Vreeland has disbanded, Felis may not be too keen on it. I am not saying that there is a problem, but please do not spread false rumors.
Last monday was our off week and simply a teaching meeting/gathering so your Pryde was not discussed from what I was told, so that will be covered monday night, I am sure.
When we started up the Haven Pryde, we all (Felis, Siobhannic and I) met with Daergoth, leader of the Vreeland Pryde to make sure it would not cause any stress to him or his Pryde, and that he would give us his blessing. He gave us some much needed advice on running a Pryde and we spoke of ways to work together so that there would be no conflict of interest, and that the 2 Prydes could compliment each other.
Anyways, sorry I am a bit late on this thread, and I do hope everything works out for your Pryde and am looking forward to attending a meeting. I hope I did not come across as being too grumpy, I just hate dealing with the effects of false rumors. I personally am excited about your Pryde and its potential, and look forward to the meeting with you and Jhesili with Felis soon also to discuss our futures.

Minor point of order: Shakahn just posted that, traditionally, Prydes are basically a family group, and that several Prydes are attached to a Hub. So since a Hub is basically a city, couldn't there be multiple Prydes in Crossing?

There could if there were enough interested prydaens to support two prydes out of one city, but their aren't.

There could if there were enough interested prydaens to support two prydes out of one city, but their aren't.

I would love to get at least one of my Prydaen involved in a Pride, but it always seems to turn out like this. Too many "politics" involved. Nowhere does it say that an area may have only one Pride and, with all due respect, just because there's not enough interest in reviving Vreeland doesn't mean that there's not enough interest in a new Pride. Vreeland was the "first" so to speak, and many lessons were learned from it. Even the staunchest supporter of Vreeland would have to admit that there were some problems with it.
I would love to see Vreeland come back someday, perhaps as a hub, with the other Prides in the area using it as a "homebase" so to speak.

So the Hubs always have Elders <unless this hub was newly founded with no elder Prydaen in any of the Prides that form this hub, and have lost touch with any of the Claw of Eu, who would help teach>, and Prides may or may not contain an elder.
