So who's excited? needless to say ... this guy! Now that things have quieted down in the Landing I decided to head home for the weekend, so if anyone wants some company in Cysaegir now's the time to visit, I'll either be in the commons, or the library inside the hostlery. I came back because I saw we have a new guru and I figured now might be a good time to say, "Welcome we've been expecting you for a long time Itzel!" ;-)
I wanted to do a bit of writing while I was in town, but I realized even though I can see the cozy red arm chair in the library, I can't sit down in it, and that saddend me :(
However, while I was standing I did notice the items in the display cases for the first time, and I thought to myself, "self... some intrepid wordsmith should create some lore for those items so they can be sung to, that would make the struggle of the aelotoi better known." There is a tattered doll, a rusty pick, and a dark beaded necklace if that helps to get the creative juices going, I'll be happy to help of course.
I then tried to go to my locker and while I am thrilled to say there are lockers in town, they are only accessible if you are not a member of a great house. Is there an way we could be allowed to access our house lockers in Cysaegir similar to how the regular lockers work? Maybe even in the same area just behind a different colored door or curtain?
I wanted to sing back to the hostlery because I'm incredibly lazy and didn't feel like climbing the tree again (don't judge me) but I apparently can't use that song in Cysaegir because the tavern isn't a targettable location for travellers song (1020). Here is where I was imagining I should land, clearly it wasn't this vivid in my imagination or it would have worked.
[Naerine Hostelry, Tavern]
Warmth emanates from a monstrous red brick fireplace situated opposite cushy sofas arranged around a plush oval rug. Savory aromas drift in from the swinging kitchen door, while hearty laughter roars from around a lacquered mahogany bar. The tawny plaster walls have been framed with the same thick wooden beams that cross the high ceiling. Wrought iron sconces cast the entire tavern in a warm glow befitting its friendly atmosphere. You also see some inviting tables and a gem-encrusted receptacle.
Obvious exits: northwest
Now imagine you hear a faint tickling at your ears like a barely remembered song, and then I'm standing behind you preening on my amazing entrance. Annnnd..... scene.
Also I hear other places are getting citizenship pins.
"Everyone else has stuff! I like stuff, where's my stuff!? I'm not helpin til I get my stuff ya'll!"
This applies to both citizenship pins, and the fact that our tavern has bowls of fruit on every table, but no ale! I mean what kind of establishment is Naerine running? I would love it if we could steal fiddler's elbow burbon from the Landing MHO hall and some of that scotch Dessedemona and Galen had at their wedding.
Finally I would love it if our town had a lil more impact on the world around us, maybe responding to Ta'vaalor's paper policy by offering discounted goods to non-vaalorians or not trading with vaalorians anymore out of protest. Just seems like the time is ripe for our tourism board to spring into action, fall is here and we live in a tree city... seems like it would be at its best right now. I would also be willing to help with writing up suggestions for some seasonal mood messaging, much as I love the sound of the loons it can be a bit monotonous.
Okay I think I'm going pull this ramble to a close, Come to Cysaegir where everyone gets a fair deal!
Archales
Seriously though, our pins should be more awesome than any other towns bar none given how we has to rough it out here.
