It's probably been mentioned before but since it was the first time I saw it, I HAVE to point it out and applaud it.

Context: I'm riding the Glaesen Star from Landing to Teras.


A sailor holds up a cameo ring and shows it to his comrades.

"Recognize it?" he asks.

"Sure, that's Relnak's, ain't it?"

"Yep, was," replies the first sailor, "I bought it offa the dwarf that brought it in. Relnak bragged he was gonna get rich huntin' sand devils, but the dwarf said all that was left of him was blood an' guts an' a finger with this ring on it."

The sailors fall silent.

I love the in character hint that Devils are rich mobs AND the warning they're incredibly dangerous. Hints about local mobs by townsfolk is great gossip and what I'd expect to hear if I were an adventurer in the realm. I'd love to see more of it. :)
