Hi, I'm an Empath who is fortunate enough to own a Tier 4 Nerve Staff and noticed that it grants me access to the BERSERK verb for the runestaff. I'm a bit confused about it and was hoping for some clarification.

According to a post by GM Reidyn (as saved here: https://gswiki.play.net/Nerve_staff/saved_posts )

>> Additionally, fully unlocked (Tier 4) runestaffs gain the benefit of a 1x/day Adrenal Surge(ish) effect. This effect will ease 'popped' muscles, break webs, stuns, and binds, and return you to your feet.
>> Berserk: Availability = Tier 4 | 1x/day Adrenal Surge(ish) ability activator

I'm familiar with Adrenal Surge (I'm an Empath) and I'm also somewhat familiar with Warrior's Berserk ( okay okay I read about it here: https://gswiki.play.net/Berserk ) and I don't believe Adrenal Surge breaks Stuns but Berserk does. Since Reidyn said it was "Adrenal Surge(ish)" I figure that was one of the differences.

This is REALLY cool. Except I can't get it to work.

This goes on for the full 6 rounds as I try everything I can think of. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong.

According to ANALYZE:
>> This is a tiered item that is currently Tier 4 of 4, which results in a 35% chance for the Muscle Memory flare to trigger when used against like level foes. It also has the following verbs available: CLENCH, TOUCH, STARE, LISTEN, and BERSERK.

So I know I have access to the verb. Its just not working? Help!

Are you fully attuned to the staff?

I am indeed not fully attuned. I'm on the 4th of 5 attunement tiers. The script indicates I have access to the BERSERK verb and nothing in the explanation indicates that the BERSERK feature is reliant on attunement (whereas it very clearly states that the Misery Unleashed flares are).

After speaking with some folks in game, it appears that the BERSERK verb is indeed only available after full attunement. If this is intentionally, can the ANALYZE please be updated to indicate as much? If a GM could post here and confirm that BERSERK is meant to be for fully attuned staves only - I'll even add your post to the wiki at https://gswiki.play.net/Nerve_staff/saved_posts so that future owners aren't confused as I have been.

Thank you for looking into this for me.
