We are in desperate need of grippable blunt weapon base. Specifically I would like to see a THW(flail)/OHB(morning Star) grippable base. at the very least create a bastard cert like those that make a bastard axe but for flail/morning Star. please please please.
Per Mikos' conversation at a Weapon discussion, LO, these many years ago (early 2000s some time), he confirmed that there were at least three (3) 1HCrush/2Hand bastard weapons rather than just the one that I knew about:
- the club/quarterstaff (the ithloss jo staff that I had, but have since sold to Ardwen for his shop);
- a mace/something (possibly also quarterstaff, but possibly mattock);
- and a morning star/flail (which I really slobbered over).
He gave no details of ownership of the other two.

I agree that having them available in general distribution, rather than being functionally unique items, would be a huge improvement.
However, I would rather see a lot more work go into making Thrown weapons that are normally of a melee base, able to be USED (i.e. "held for melee DS") as a Thrown weapon, rather than requiring a Thrown user to also train in that melee style.
For the record, I believe that could largely be resolved with an additional use of the 'grip' verb... :)
