I remember many years ago the door to our private lounge can be knock & folks from inside can hear someone is out there, what happen to it now?

You thump on an ancient oak door heavily, but it doesn't seem to do much good.

Nothing can be heard from inside the lounge as well.

You are correct that the "knock on oak door" now is not heard on the other side regardless of which side you are knocking on. I am not aware of any decision to change the procedure by Enegue who would have to approve most any change to the Inn. I'll write him and see if he knows anything about this... and hopefully respond within a shorter time than it took me to read the Silvergate posting this time.
