Game mechanics and roleplay are my favorite aspect of gs4. Im looking to eventually join a house, but do not wish to join a house that will detract from the immersiveness of the game. Any suggestions on which house to inquire with would be appreciated.
Which house would you say has the largest amount of role-players in prime? on 04/09/2013 11:58 PM CDT

Use the WHO HOUSE command.
This will allow you to see most of the members of most houses (some houses are more secretive than others and people can choose not to advertise their allegiance). Check them out.
Most houses have websites. You should be able to search them with your favorite search engine. See what they have to say for themselves and what they are doing for their members.
Houses can advertise activities on the calendar and via news items. Turn up and see what you think of them.
Don't look for a house to start role-playing. Start roleplaying and see what you find.
Most houses are in the Landing. If you have an allegiance elsewhere, check if there is a house in your town and check that one out.

Also, don't worry about a House detracting from your roleplay. All of Gemstone's houses actively seek to promote and perpetuate roleplay, albeit different aspects of roleplay. What is your character like? Does he follow the Arkati? Is he mostly focused on his profession? Skill at martial arms, or magic? Is he the serious type or does he like to hang out at the local pub in between his hunts? Whatever you're into, there is likely a house full of people with a like mind.

I'm extremely partial, but I'm throwing out Beacon Hall in River's Rest. The house is constantly doing rp-based events and has a dedication to the preservation of Elanthian history. BHA has done tours of their grounds, has a public library and actively seeks to sponsor events that promote and incorporate the history of River's Rest's buildings, attractions and lore. The house roster includes some of the finest people in Elanthia!

By default, Paupers. They are the largest house, so therefore they have the most roleplayers by sheer volume.
The better question to ask is which is the most active House, and which house holds events that are roleplay based, rather than simply checking off a box to ensure their monthly CHE points.
