Moments ago, the Wehnimer's Landing town council emerged from Moot Hall with a decision regarding the request for petition from a group of townspeople. Councilman Barnom Slim offered their ruling and explanation.

"The town council has considered Colson's petition, and that of those citizens who he spoke for and was in the company of. We recognize the growing anger in many of our townspeople and while we may not all agree with such sentiments, the town council feels it should not bar any petition from being formed on their behalf. Therefore, a town petition will be setup outside of Moot Hall in the next few moments. Please read it's heading carefully before you decide to sign over your name."

Councilman Barnom continued, "I know this may seem counter productive to our town at this time, but the council and myself feel that by allowing the petition we are demonstrating that our frontier town continues to listen to our people and to our community. The council has agreed upon a required limit of signatures, the exact number has been filed away and will remain as such to avoid manipulation and the risk of corruption. Thank you and good day."
