In order to advance within the new Adventurer Guild system you will achieve ranks for achievement. With each rank is an increase in rewards and chances to learn new devices for fulfilling the bounties. Let's say for example at 100k bounty points, the rank increases and an availability to expend points on a skill only possible to learn through the AG is acquired. It is a permanent ability. They are profession based and oriented toward the bounties you prefer. So for example a Ranger who forages a lot may get the opportunity to train in a skill which will yield higher quality herb finds. Rising in ranks more will afford them the chance to reduce their roundtime foraging a bit. They might get bonus herbs with a special skill in a later rank. A rogue who likes to dance with bandits and quests involving battles will possibly become interested in a skill which will temporarily raise their AS (DS later in a rank) for specifically killing 'paricularly dangerous' critters. A skill which allows them to raise their perception when seeking out an heirloom, which can work similarly for all professions but in a Rogue's case acting on their skillset and Professional instincts.
It seems time to upgrade the system and expand it since it's become a ritual for almost all in GSIV.
