Couldn't help but wonder, what with the new mail system in place, and a terminus (with even a ticket counter link in place) building in Ta'Vaalor if this might not be a portent of things to come. As in...regular airship service between cities? Would be awesome indeed!

Go to a terminus building, buy yourself a ticket, and in due time arrive at the terminus building at another city all in the glorious comfort of an airship. Could be minimalist with a single cabin where everyone piles in like in a bus or anything up to grand with various rooms like dining, bar, seating, even a viewing room to look out on the ground below as you pass over. Maybe have it be a single route that the airships follow. Sort of like the Orient Express if you will.

Would be great for roleplay experiences and even GM guided events. Perhaps even simucoin opportunities. Say that it would maybe take some inexpensive thing you could buy on the simu shop like a book of tickets for x amount of simucoins. Or not. Depending on whether it would need to be justified as a money making thing. I know a lot of people aren't fond of the simu shop but I, for one, like getting a few of the cheaper things that make my life easier.

If chronomage orbs weren't already a thing, this would be a cool idea cause it would let folk by-pass all the hassles of the trail and could potentially be faster while still providing time for RP. Ultimately, though, I think it'd be a lot of work to make something that wouldn't really be used enough to justify it.

Maybe if the time factor and cost could be balanced enough between walking and chronomage orbs....or they just took off whenever a group bought ticket rather then making them wait around for a launch time....

Just for the record... There have always been airship docks in Vaalor, so that's not really new. Airships that worked similar in concept to the Teras boat would be interesting, but I do wonder how much use they'd actually get.
