A huge improvement to EZ-scripts would be if it could be reworked to act as a subscript so that existing scripted items could be supplemented with EZ-script verbs for unused verbs. I have no idea how difficult this may actually be, but the results would be extremely desirable to a large percentage of the game community (speculation, but probably accurate).

The scripted items that exist and that are created are always top-notch and this is not in anyway a complaint about them. However, because there are so many amazing options it can be daunting to choose between a small handful, let alone one or two. The Ez-script system is amazing as it lets players creat their own items, but often with big trade-offs over mechanical items. While I am in favor of having to make decisions such as this, I also understand and am personally willing to spend money on a service such as this to "get the best of both worlds".

I could see this being sold as a higher-end offering in HESS or RW and generating a good amount of sales for such a service if it existed.

To add a quick specific example:
It came up that a functional teacup, one that you can pour tea into and see tea leaves in, could not be EZ-scripted.
Additionally, if you had scripted armor that used BOW/RUB/CLENCH/WEAR/REMOTE, you could add EZ-script verbs such as TAP/CHEER/WAVE/ETC, anything that wasn't already being used by the existing script.

This is a great suggestion and I too would spend money on this. Most of my most treasured things have some scripts on them already, and I would love to be able to personalize them even more. EZ Scripts are pretty awesome and a bit underused I think because there are so many great scripts out there. I hereby officially second this suggestion!

I would abuse this power to add dumb jokes to my cool items, so I sincerely hope it happens.

This is almost certainly a non-starter on a technical level.

There is no way we could ever allow this in a broad sense without doing an enormous amount of work to review and potentially update every item script ever created. Scripts can do just about anything they want, including being very opinionated about how an item is constructed and how it stores data associated with it. They are designed with the idea that an item can and will only have one script associated with it; it's the exceptions to this rule which implement support for the concept of subscripting that particular script, and even then we have problems when the constraints around that are not adhered to rigidly.

If you want an example of a script that attempts to support "all" other armor scripts as subscripts, consider armor concealers. That is a script that is designed to take the place of your armor's script while your armor is concealed and treats the armor's original script as a subscript; the concealer script turns into a sort of script-in-the-middle between actions and the armor script. This doesn't always work well, as can be seen by the various odd bugs related to this item over the years. In some cases, the functionality of the concealer script blocks some of the armor script functionality, due to keying off the same verb.

The narrower context of EZ scripts does make the concept more approachable, but it'd have to be a feature of EZ scripted items supporting other scripts as a subscript rather than the other way around, which would pretty severely limit its accessibility.

Naos, who wouldn't really want to see some fancy artifact "enhanced" with an ez script anyway...

What about an Ez-Scripts like framework that could be added to existing scripts at the discretion of the script owner to fill in unused verbs? Would something like that be more realistic?

Otherwise, it would just be asking for more customizable existing verbs like some items have. Overall, this type of character customization is getting better with the big-ticket scripts that go out, but there is still a huge difference between some versus others and EZ-scripts as whole.
