I am ready and waiting to "prompt" people, as well as several others on the wishlist. I'll also update the Aspis list (found here http://www.houseaspis.com/resources/tonesbytone /shamelessplug)!

zomg to horizontal emoticons! I knew about the others but I kind of hate those. Where are my favorite Japanese-style ones?

^_^

>_<

-_-

Though the funny thing is, I was onced asked by a colleague why Americans turned the emoticons sideways. I had to explain kind of carefully how not everything cool in the world was invented by Japanese, and that sideways emoticons seemed to pre-date the horizontal ones by many many years. That fact hasn't made me like the sideways ones any more, though.

Seeing those horizontal ones reminds me of one of the guys I used to play Multi-Player BattleTech with back on GEnie (with two capital letters, before it got sold).

One of his favorites was
( )( )

He liked this one even better
(.)(.)

And being a genuine fan, he really liked
( o )( o )

(But those were understandably a lot less common....)
