I'd like to suggest a few cross-over verbs from DR. The various HUG options would be nice, as well as PAT and RUB - DR having more locations available. With EG coming up, the SHOP verb would be very useful, as it lists all of the shoppable surfaces in a room.
HUG:
Valid emotes are: love, friend, tender, fierce, tight, bear, ginger, brother, formal, brief, aunt, half-hearted
(LOVE) You wrap your arms around Person in a loving hug.
(FRIEND) You wrap an arm around Person's shoulder in a friendly hug.
(TENDER) You wrap your arms around Person in a tender embrace, pressing your cheek against his/hers.
(FIERCE) You catch Person up in a fierce embrace, swinging him/her around exuberantly.
(TIGHT) You pull Person to you in a tight hug.
(BEAR) You wrap your arms around Person, giving him/her a great big bear hug!
(GINGER) You hug Person gingerly, trying not to hurt him/her.
(BROTHER) You give Person a brotherly hug, ruffling his/her hair with your knuckles.
(FORMAL) You give Person a formal hug, pressing first your right cheek, then your left, against his/hers.
(BRIEF) You give Person a brief, almost absent-minded hug.
(AUNT) You give Person a great big hug, pinching his/her cheeks despite his/her long-suffering sigh.
(HALF-HEARTED) You give Person a half-hearted hug, releasing him/her almost immediately.
PAT:
(ITEM) You pat a mug of frothy root beer.
(PERSON) You pat Person on the back.
(SELF) You rub your tummy and pat your head.

As far as HUG, the idea I had was introducing racial realism. My wife and I had hacked out a few examples chatting, but never got the full series hammered out. So, firstly one needs to put races into a few categories. This is already done for some systems of the game (gremlin area for example), but I'm not sure if that's code which is easily portable or a literal check on race in-situ.
Also we have lots of demeanor settings so the HUGS and other such verbs already have multiple variations, and we need to keep in line with that attitude when proposing changes (and how many changes it will be...it's a lot!). Also for the racial sizes, it somewhat matters the posture of the two characters, which adds even more complication.
But, the basic idea I have is like a halfling hugging a giant's leg, or a giant picking up a gnome and twirling them around in a hug. And go from there. A slightly lower demeanor setting for the giant/gnome example can be the giant like bending over and loosely draping their arms over the gnome's back and legs...haha.
