I'm finally resting properly after spending the last three days moving, working, more moving and then waiting for my cable modem to be properly installed. A 30-45 minute job turned into a four plus hour ordeal in which the service guy took an hour long nap in my computer chair waiting for tech dispatch on hold. Four hours....and all he needed to do was use a modem that worked instead of using a refurbished (yet still broken) modem/router. Honestly, I can't blame the guy but so much. I just want to know how the tech folks back at base can communicate with my modem but my computer can't. 30 seconds after hooking up a new modem out of frustration, he has it working perfect. I wanted to scream, cry and giggle all at once. Four hours..... I was so bored.
