I too am having this problem. I was testing the armoire out and it worked several times, then suddenly stopped. If I PROD the armoire, it messages on/off, but when on if I OPEN the armoire nothing happens. The armoire DOES open because I can look into it, moments later it closes itself as usual. However, no matter how many times I try OPEN ARMOIRE, it won't activate the dress/undress script.
Also, I noticed this small bug: (condensed so as not to blind anyone)
SEARCH ARMOIRE:
Your(TYPO) search through your dark wooden armoire and note you have reserved spots for the following items:
a playful penguin pin dancing on a block of quartz ice
a blue sapphire rearing mule pin
a black leather weapon harness covered in straps and buckles
OPEN ARMOIRE:
A playful penguin pin dancing on a block of quartz ice was no longer found on your person, removing the previously saved spot for it in your armoire.
A blue sapphire rearing mule pin was no longer found on your person, removing the previously saved spot for it in your armoire.
A black leather weapon harness covered in straps and buckles was no longer found on your person, removing the previously saved spot for it in your armoire.
SEARCH ARMOIRE:
a playful penguin pin dancing on a block of quartz ice
a blue sapphire rearing mule pin
a black leather weapon harness covered in straps and buckles
This occurred with a great many items, but I just listed the few as an example.
Keep up the great work on these, I love them!

If you're able to reproduce this, please SEARCH your armoire to see the saved profile, then also LOOK inside it when you open it to see if there's anything currently in it. If you could email me a log of the incident it would greatly help in tracking down the problem.
I already got the typo for searching fixed (but not live yet).

Say I want to put a pendant between the medallion and the cloak. Is it possible to update the armoires so that I could do this? Like: "PUT MY pendant IN MY armoire AFTER medallion", or some such syntax. It would also be cool if we could remove items from their positions without having to reset the whole list. This way, we can update the list more easily should we wish to alter it slightly or correct it. |
I don't think the functionality that would create would be worth the effort. Instead, and I hope this resolves your concern, I've made it so it re-sorts your inventory from head to toe after it dresses you.

I BUG Itemed in game too.
>'my armoire doesn't work with my sandals
You say, "My armoire doesn't work with my sandals."
>get my sand
You remove some chocolate brown sandals from in your tote.
>frown sand
You frown at some chocolate brown sandals.
>anal sand
You analyze your chocolate brown sandals and sense that the item is free from merchant alteration restrictions.
You get no sense of whether or not the sandals may be further lightened.
>l at sand
You feel fully energetic again.
>
You see nothing unusual.
>weight my sand
You carefully examine the chocolate brown sandals and determine that the weight is less than 2 pounds.
Roundtime: 5 sec.
R>insp sand
You carefully inspect your chocolate brown sandals.
You determine that you could wear the sandals on your feet. The sandals appear to serve some purpose.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of cloth.
>get my arm
You remove a small dark wooden armoire from in your tote.
>point my arm at my sand
You must be wearing the sandals first.
>wear my sand
You put some chocolate brown sandals onto your feet.
The sandals covers your tattoo.
>point my arm at my sand
You remove the previously saved spot for your sandals in the armoire.
>point arm at my plat
You reserve a spot for your plate in the armoire.
>
>point arm at my sandal
You reserve a spot for your sandals in the armoire.
>>open my arm
As you remove your plate, it falls out of alignment.
A suit of plate flies off of your person and into the armoire.
Roundtime: 1 sec.

PS the invention of this rather cumbersome solution for the overwhelming number of people who are using it to cut down on screen scroll (yes I am at least one person who complains about screen scroll for enhancives) when wearing removing enhancives could be swapped for inventory enhancive pause off/on with far less chances of bugs. As it was I see not one bug mentioned for that thread.
Thanks for providing a non simu-coin solution, but I do hope we can get a <1lb option as well.

It's by design. The armoires refuse to work with hobo gear.
(Bug fixed. Although I technically think the issue is with the actual item, but I worked around it!)

That works for me and absolutely resolves my concern. Thanks a bunch.
Again, very awesome item. Thanks for your hard work. I love it.

>>The choice of 'XXX' for a character's name with clothing flying off made me snicker.<<
I am only making this minor suggestion because (gasp) the good suggestions keep getting implemented...
I love the armoire, but there's something about the fantastical aspect of the clothes flying in and out of it that gives me pause about using it in front of others. For myself, I would prefer a vanilla message. Something like "Marat opens his dark wooden armoire, and quickly changes his outfit."
I'd say "I'm picky and weird" but hey, aren't we all? If there were some way to toggle that message. Or maybe some day even customize it! Who knows.
Still using it / loving it, and thanks for it...

<Could fusion armor be made to work with them? As well as voln/ithzir?>
Post 1075:
<They were already working with ithzir armor and should now also with fusion armor. Unfortunately, they won't be able to work with Voln armor.
Also, there was a bug where items hidden by the griffin pins would cause the armoires to remove their saved setting for those items. This should now be resolved. The armoires won't remove hidden items, but it shouldn't cause the setting to be removed (so next time if you want to include the item, you can just unhide it first).
