I'm wrapping up my redesign/organization of the krakiipedia alchemy pages. Please let me know if you come upon a recipe that hasn't been converted to table format. Yesterday I added a navigation bar to go between the major pages. I'll also be adding a basic getting started guide in the next week or two.

To get to profession-specific recipe lists by discipline, go to (profession) (potions or trinkets) from the search box in the left navigation pane. "Sorcerer potions" will go to the page with all the sorcerer potion recipes (it is actually the category page). Here all recipes are divided by 4 tiers of ranks (1-14, 15-29, 30-44, 45-63) so it is easier to choose a recipe progression plan.

Since these are the category pages, you can also reach them by clicking on the category listed at the bottom of an appropriate recipe page.

If you want to jump to a specific spell recipe page and you don't know the product name, you can enter "alchemy (spell #)" in the search box in the left navigation pane and that will take you directly to the recipe page. "Alchemy 509" will take you directly to the white crystal page. Recipes are also listed on the actual spell pages, but without any detail beyond the actual recipe steps. Again, if any "alchemy (spell #)" searches don't work that should, please let me know.

For pages with multiple recipes, redirect pages have been added with all known product names (except for dyes) so if you find something and you don't know what it is, you can search for it and it should send you to the right place. For example, searching for "smooth stone talisman" will take you to the minor luck talisman recipe.

I've also added scripts for making some things (104, 105, 203 and 209 so far). I'll be putting up more. Don't laugh at my scripts, they're rudimentary, but they work and are easily edited for individual use. They make stuff, they don't check to make sure you have enough of this or that or go hunt trolls for you.

I really want the Krakiipedia pages to be an alternate to the ;alchemy script. I think it's unfortunate that so many people have gone completely automated that they don't realize when they've found an unpublished recipe or perhaps even that there are unpublished recipes, but they don't know how to make a script. Since I believe everyone who has done alchemy without any scripting has quit the game, I can't blame people for using ;alchemy, there was no alternative.

Hopefully people will try advancing without the parameters of the script and start to realize that they can make real contributions toward recipe research that people who mastered long ago cannot do without starting anew with a different character. And hopefully with some player enthusiasm, there might be some trickle down GM enthusiasm for some development/reworking.

Thanks for doing this!

I've been training alchemy on and off, and will try to make a note of any recipes I might come across.

Something else I've found very useful is the reverse ingredient-to-recipe lookup on Virilneus's site, whenever components randomly drop and I can't remember if I need to keep them (locker space is limited after all). Krakiipedia doesn't have a similar tool, I think -- sometimes they're listed on the ingredient's own page but it's very haphazard.

I haven't touched the ingredients page yet, but I have turned the rare drops into links. Even if the link is to a non-existent page, on the lower part of the left navigation there is a "what links here" in the toolbox, and that will show all the recipes linking to that page.

I still have individual scripts for each recipe I know how to make. :) (I don't use Lich since I use my work computer, and putting SF itself on was a bending of the rules)

But definitely, there's still a lot to do in recipe research. I know sorcerers have the largest amount of unpublished recipes still remaining, but no one knows if wizards, empaths, and clerics are complete yet or not. (my guess: wizards yes, clerics and empaths no)

How do you know that there are unpublished recipes?

I thought the greater necromantic regeneration potion hadn't been found. I just checked on V's site and see the recipe there, so I will retract back my statement.

I do feel like you guys should have more stuff though, but I don't know that.

There probably are a few recipes that are not publicly known. Just last year, someone discovered the recipe for the "dried glowing red eyeball charm" (which you should try!). I'm still not sure if that recipe had been in the system since the last announced release of alchemy recipes or if it was sneakily introduced later. If there are unknown sorcerer recipes, they are probably dyes or low level recipes, like the eyeball charm. High level recipes would have been discovered by now by the anal high level sorcerers.

I've accelerated the ingredient part of the project. I likely won't finish anytime soon

Came upon this mid-level hair dye yesterday that I didn't see listed:

Temporary tawny hair dye
- Add hair dye base
- Add 3 doses of tawny brindlecat hide from tawny brindlecats
- Boil
- Add faintly glimmering dust
- Simmer

Makes "a vial of tawny hair dye".
