You carefully examine your harlequin brigandine to determine whether or not you can adjust it to better protect against puncturing damage.
You determine that you cannot properly adjust it right now.
I am trying to check some 6x brigandine to add level 2 Armor Puncture protection to it and I get the above message. Can somone identify the possible reasons for receiving the above message? I am fairly certain I used to be able to add puncture resistance to this armor. My guess is that someone else may have added a stronger resistance in which case I think the messaging is a bit unhelpful here.
Thanks!

Faaaaaulkil...any warrior with puncture training should be able to remove the bindings from the armor so you can start the process over. I'm not in game right now so I forget what the command is, but it's something like armor puncture remove. Also, any warrior can assess the armor, like you would for padding, to determine if there is warrior added resistance and how much longer it will last.

For a warrior trained for the specialized type of fitting, the command is:
USAGE: ARMOR [SLASH|CRUSH|PUNCTURE] [option] [{target} | {target player} {target armor slot}]
Options:
ADJUST - Adjust a piece of armor to better protect against a certain type of damage.
CHECK - Determine the whether or not a piece of armor can be adjusted.
REMOVE - Remove armor fittings from an already adjusted piece of armor.
For the ADJUST and CHECK options you may choose to directly specify a target item in your possession or you may choose a target armor slot on another person. Valid armor slots are: torso, head, neck, arms, and legs.
Um, so in this case: armor puncture remove (PC) (torso, unless an accessory)
