I spent quite a while this afternoon looking for my companion (in Shattered).
Finally found a black-tipped orange tiger, befriended, and now I have...
a orange tiger following me around
The typo is rather glaring.
A ranger friend suggested I post here, since it might be happening in Prime and Plat, too.

Only the second adjective will show up generally, unfortunately. You have to DESCRIBE it for the full one. The only exception is if you get the companion groomed and do a custom appearance.

Oh, nevermind. I see the typo, with a vs. an. BUG that in game, as well.

>Unfortunately, this happened in Shattered, so I'm guessing any bugs filed there just get tossed into the circular recycling bin... which is why my ranger friend poked me to post it here instead.
It's best to post bugs on the forums (public is better, and the right GM will likely notice). It may not always get fixed, but your chances are far better.
Is there no ASSIST verb in Shattered (can't imagine why there wouldn't be)? If there is, have you used it?

If I recall, ASSIST and REFER are disabled in Shattered.

>>It's showing as A orange tiger.
It really ought to be AN orange tiger. <<
Geeze, Louise! I was being facetious! Clearly only someone ignorant of the rules of English (someone portrayed ever so inventively and cleverly above by moi) would miss the error. Doh!
I used to be a grammar Nazi on the forums until people told me to stop being so critical and picky. Obviously you can't please everyone.

Hah! Sorry. The humor, even after being troweled on, completely slipped my notice.
Chalk it up to being distracted. :)

Cait. This is her telling you to let her know what you want the short description of your tiger to look like (I think).
You want an orange tiger, a black-tipped orange tiger, etc, etc?
>If I recall, ASSIST and REFER are disabled in Shattered.
(This isn't directed at you, Nuadjha.)
So they have no in-game method for support? They pay the same price, don't they? Surely the senior staff can imagine non-PVP issues arising. You know, just like this one.
~Brian, Sepher's player, definitely shouldn't attempt to post drunk. Always end up reposting.

We got together in Shattered and fixed everything up. Generally if someone in Shattered is stuck somewhere, they can post on the Shattered forums and one of us will pop in to help out if we can. The point of the disclaimer is to point out that they are paying to be beyond the reach of the GMs, so they need to realize that they are beyond the reach of the GMs for the things they want us for, too.
I will see if I can track down the "a orange" thing to fix it for the future, too.

It sounds like they can get help if they reach out, but technical maintenance should be a given part of the service. That sort of support has nothing to do with what Shattered purports to provide. The way it's worded in the disclaimer sounds like a huge cop out on Simu's part.

We did! Thank you sooooo much, Vanah!
And yes, assist and report are COMPLETELY disabled in Shattered. If you try, it says "Give it up, sucker! You're in Shattered, now!" (no, not really). Generally, it's a non issue. We knew what we were getting into signing up.
>I will see if I can track down the "a orange" thing to fix it for the future, too.
Thanks for looking into that. That was my original intention for posting, though I'm not going to complain how it ultimately turned out!

Shattered is $5/month extra on top of a basic Prime subscription, so it's actually more expensive.
