We have discovered the lovely, wonderful, amazing 1750 trinket.

It is a gold-framed clear crystal lens.
The clear crystal of the lens is flawless to the point of near invisibility within the confines of its ensigiled golden frame. Upon being tilted slightly to catch the light, the faint image of a slit-pupilled eye briefly appears on the crystal lens's surface.

It came with a mere one charge, but it loresung as rechargable. After the ever-talented Rimalon applied his gross overabundance of Major Elemental ranks to the recharging process, we were able to put approximately 15 charges into the lens.

Here is the activation roll Raelee got. (For ze record, she says 2x MIU at level 92.)
1d100: 80 + Modifiers: 164 == 244

Raelee rubs a gold-framed clear crystal lens in her hand.
A yellow, slit-pupil eye materilizes on Raelee's forehead. Within moments, the strange symbol melds into her skin and disappears. Raelee's eyes widen with newfound knowledge.

This netted her 4 casts of Mobility. This spell is fun!

Lemme go find a monocle so it can pop off.

Also, excellent design on that, whoever made it. I love it.

This one was found in Nelemar off a critter. Hadanas recharged it completely last night/early this morning for a pretty reasonable fee. So, now I have a 40 charge 1750 item if anyone is interested :D

So far, both the 1750 scroll I bought from someone and this lens came from Teras. Hmmmm!

The location is moot. It's based upon the treasure level of the creatures you hunt.

for a 50th level spell. When it shows up on scrolls that no sorcerer can touch because, we're just that crappy. But, if it shows up on magical items that wizards can touch, well, it becomes more attractive. It was never without use in anycase, the issue we have with it is whether or not it is worthy of a 50th slot. Wanting something to be improved is not the same thing as saying it sucks. And... you DID increase the durations to use MIU/AS, which made it functional for at least defensive use. The offensive uses are still a little questionable.

Of course, I've not even used it yet. Haven't even used any 1700 spell yet, not finding anything.

Very cool. Love the execution and the trinket is appropriately designed for what it is/does and with a level of detail befitting a 50th level spell.

I'll be paying attention when I go through boxes, that's for sure.

Rimalon already recharged the 1750 item. Granted I think he only put 15 charges in it, but since it started with 1, that ain't bad.

Unfortunately, that was not intended. The Fash'lo'nae's Gift trinket will not be Wizard rechargeable. However, it has been updated to have a varied number of charges.

UNLESS!

Is it at all possible for 1750 to appear in random treasure jewelry, like mystic focus does sometimes? I guess this question applies to the entire 1700 circle.

And lo, boys and girls, that is how Droit came to know the pain of alchemy, and to pity Rimalon and all other alchemists accordingly.

I agree.

Well, that 40 charge one you've got is suddenly very very valuable.

That's sad really, and contradicts your earlier statement. Apparently someone changed their mind. Why not just make it harder to charge rather than not at all? And that was a far post capped wizard that got it to 15 charges, and it's going to turn green probably half the time someone tries anyway. Honestly, it's not so powerful that it couldn't remain chargeable.

I agree it was a disappointment. Just when Charge Item was given a much larger boost via these trinkets, one of the most powerful spells were taken from its sphere of influence. If it is a balance issue, could the matter be brought back up before Warden and see what cam be done to keep the trinket rechargeable. Is Charge Item going to be effected by the Elemental Lore reivew? It just seems wrong to reverse momentum on a spell which has a very negative perception amongst wizards and non-wizards alike.

You know, just know I'm going to agree with this statement. Bring it back.

After all, Rimsie with his paltry skills can simply not be allowed to be the only wizard ever to have charged a 1750 item.

Simply intol, I say intolerable.

Being able to charge quartz orbs and statues now is pretty sweet, and I imagine a fully charged dull gold coin is great depending on where you're hunting. Even without 1750 charge item got a huge boost to it's usefulness.
