Here is what happens in a group hunt when one person uses 1005 and the other person has an in-action related to a combat maneuver:

">stanc o
cman sweep
Avignon changes his tune, adding a new element to his song...
Avignon skillfully weaves another verse into his harmony, directing the sound of his voice at a pra'eda.
The pra'eda falls to the ground in a deep slumber.
>You are now in an offensive stance.
>
A pra'eda is awakened by your attack!
A pra'eda is already prone."

What happened here is that we were facing a new pra'eda, and so I attempted to sweep it. However, due to perhaps input lag, Avignon slept the pra'eda in between the time I entered the commend and the time I executed the command. There seemed to be an in-action together with a feedback message "pra-eda is already prone" ... but just before displaying the feedback message the pra'eda is awakened.

I had no round time. Contrast with say attacking an undead with a non-blessed weapon, which does result in an actual action, hacking futilely (and incurring rate from said actual action), white happened here is that I did not actually attempt a sweep (attempting a sweep takes exactly 5 seconds). I got a feedback message essentially indicated that the condition to perform the sweep (and incur action) is not present. So with that context, I performed no action, no round time, and something is wrong with the line "awakened by your attack" occurring prior to the feedback message.

Ok in addition to posting here I submitted a bug using the in-game bug command, with the following text:

Submitted bug "aborted-CMAN-and-creature-wakeup" to play.net's bug tracking database under category "Combat" with these details:
" when the condition required to perform a CMAN (say sweep) is not available (say the creature is not sitting, kneeling, or standing), a feedback message is displayed 'A pra'eda is already prone' and the CMAN is ABORTED (no roundtime is incurred). The bug is that just before the feedback message is displayed and the CMAN is aborted, the creature (if sleeping) is woken up."
