HCP Brig. Mikalmas has been in Brig since level 35. Of course that was back when Paladins didn't exist and Clerics were very proficient weapon users. I never switched him out of Brig. The 7% hindrance is a real pain, but the extra protection of the brig is a fair trade off, for me anyway. There probably aren't a lot of brig wearing clerics left.
I plan on having my cleric wear chain or double chain as I have access to rank 4 armored fluidity and eventually rank 5 for a 50% spell hindrance reduction.
She's been in a leather breastplate since level 15 and is currently level 54. I don't notice 4% spell hindrance honestly.

I used to use brig, but IMHO in the end the spell hindrance is just infeasible. In the higher level areas like the scatter, things cast so quickly and swarm so much that 3 seconds wasted is a big deal. It's the difference between getting 316 off before vs after the liches cast. :)
