Anyhow I use Windows 7 64 bit, x-finity cable and randomly disconnect no matter how I log in. I run 3 accounts most times and if I do not hit a button every 3 seconds it will log them out. I have the prolong disconnect setting checked. Very frustrating and being honest if I can't stay connected it really is a deal breaker for me paying/playing. Any suggestions. Also it happens even with only 1 account is on and the disconnects do not have the warning message before just dropping. The characters do stay in world for quite a while after too.

I had this issue also and posted in "general complaints" folder under "discussion with simutronics" awhile back. sounds like it may be a router/modem/provider configuration problem. I don't know enough about this stuff to help

It is just odd to me. I can play memory intensive state of the art games for free without issues. I don't see how it I would be able to play those for hours and hours on 6 accounts without so much as a single hitch but I can't stay connected here. It doesn't add up to it being router/modem/provider. I will check my firewall and such and make sure the game has permissions but that wouldn't make sense either since I stay connected as long as I am actively mashing buttons.

Most often this is a symptom of using a third party (read, not the responsibility of Simutronics) program. It'd be kind of pointless to hold Simutronics accountable for activities from third party program or extension-type capabilities.
It isn't always (and absolutely) the case, though! And in those cases where it hasn't been, I've always found Simutronics to be forthcoming about information -- like the upcoming server maintenance.
Perhaps if you gave a bit more detail, we can be of assistance. For example, there are odd conditions (no real clear reason why) if you die while using Lich (one of the aforementioned third party programs) you can frequently disconnect. Even, annoyingly, after having been raised.
In that case, the fix is to log in without extensions (third party programs like Lich), move two rooms, then exit. You should be able to play again without this problem, thereafter.
That's assuming, of course, you're using a third party program. Of course, so far, odds on favorite will be that you are, since that's the bulk of the negative responses of this type that I do see posted.
Just some food for thought. . .
