All of my characters have always been able to come and go freely through the Faendryl embassy prior to the raffles being set up yesterday, and now my halfling is barred from entering. I assume this was just temporary to stop all of the people coming to flood the Faendryl only raffles, would it be possible to have the restriction removed now that the raffle tables are gone and the event is over?

It is not an oversight. It was always intended to be closed to anyone not a dark elf.

I am not sure when the restrictions were lifted, but I know I put them in after it was originally opened.

Probably because Vathon had his teachings there in that case, so all Sorcerers could join. It seems silly to me to block it off when none of the other embassies are restricted. I was pretty much the only one to use it with my accounts, I suppose it will be empty besides events now.

I stand corrected, I can't enter the forest gnome one on my dark elf. Still, I can enter every other one, including the dwarves.

Seems I can't actually, good catch. I thought I visited every one, but the giantman one never went through because clicking it in narost never actually took me. Does it matter though? It's a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. I could enter into the Faendryl one on my half elf a moment ago, and now I can't. Half Faendryl can't enter? Dhe'nari probably can? It just serves to be awkward. I've moved on anyhow, setup in the lost home now.
