There's always the debate about F2P and P2W - but this model is clearly Pay to Win.

The difference between F2P and P2W is that in a F2P model, the only items on the store you can purchase are "fluff" and "convenience". EXP boosts, cosmetic items, bank size increases, mechanical utilities like encumbrance potions and fixskills/stats. All fine.

When you make SOCIETIES a Paid item - you just made it Pay to Win.

Societies are not fluff. They are not convenience. The entire game is practically balanced around the assumption that you've picked one of the three societies for your character, and have made an effort to progress in that society. The AS/DS bonus alone is a massive improvement to character ability in the game. This is like throwing a +20AS/DS potion for 30 days on the shop!! That would not be appropriate. That's Pay to Win.

Societies should not be restricted. Sure, restrict coin limits and experience gains. Give those convenience advantages to subscribers and those paying for shop items. Do not - ever - restrict access to character "progression" options in any game. This will instantly turn off anyone new to this game...

Vet Player: "Hey new guy, did you hear you can bolster your attack and defense by as much as +35 if you join a society!?"
New Player: "Oh, that sounds great, sign me up/"

Game Notice "You are a free player, so you can't have these abilities unless you pay us!"

New Player: "Well, that sure seems unfair!"
Game Logic "It's only $2.50 for a 30 day pass!"

....

Pay to Win is a quick way to lose any F2P interest you might have generated in this industry. Please look closely and adjust accordingly.

As someone who has successfully leveled several characters without the benefit of a society, for roleplay reasons, I can say with certainty that they are not a requirement for a meaningful leveling experience. You can still progress through hunting grounds normally without a society, and the experience is far from crippling.

Societies do not make hunting possible. They make it easier. That is the definition of a convenience, not a requirement, and certainly not pay-to-win.

I agree societies aren't needed but with the pay for xxx amount of time to advance or use model it seems like a major cash grab. Can some one look I to making them a 1 time purchase insteas of multiple purchases? Just a suggestion
