Been watching for a bit hoping for a flare Removal merchant to be announced, any word if one will be coming soon?
I'm terrified to use that service. I desperately want to get my unbalance flares swapped out to grapple (believe it or not, it's for RP reasons).
But if I remove the unbalance flares, no one is going to agree to add flares to the weapon to replace the old ones.
I wish they would have a swapping service for common and uncommon flares.

Ahh, got it thanks Jainna. That makes sense then because the smart weapon makes whirlwinds, it plays the part. Well that semi stinks on 2 fronts, 1) can't have the flares removed 2) because of the flares, can only get it enchanted via points or a skilled merchant. I should stop holding my breathe then and buy/forge something else :)

I don't think it is the script slot. Most newer items shy away from that, especially since the script is fluff stuff. It could be but someone take a peek because I hoped to do a minor project with wizard services some day (not worth merchants or premium points for the item at this point).

I just took a closer look. Since Xerria unlocks these, I knew that there are actually 3 different "Smart Weapon" scripts. One for fire, one for cold, and one for vacuum. The script says it is "intended to go on a weapon with fire flares" or vacuum, or cold. It also says not to change anything about the weapon's fields, which would be necessary to change the flare. So likely, you couldn't swap out the flares on a Smart Weapon because they are specifically designed for weapons with either fire, vacuum, or cold flares.
