Where would be a good place to hunt for a Two weapon ambush wielding rogue at 68 trains? The only critters that I can think of on the Landing side are the Krag Yetis, and Krag dwellers but after this fiasco.

The krag dweller's eyes sparkle with evil intent as it collapses into a boulder-shaped ball and begins rolling erratically across the ground!
In a vain attempt, you leap to avoid the speeding boulder! The boulder strikes you squarely, crushing you beneath it and the ground!

... 25 points of damage!
Eye crushed by a hard blow to the face!
You are stunned for 10 rounds!

It's happened 3x already and I'm a brig wearing 3x dodge rogue! Any suggestions on where to go would be cool, I'm willing to travel. Thanks!

Skull Temple in Elven Nations should be a cakewalk.

Agreed. I've currently been there since 61ish. If you're around in the earlier hours I'll show you around, as there's a few nuances to the area.

Otherwise, here's a brief rundown of the stuff you'll find.

Spellburst: Don't wear any outside spells except your own. They'll explode off you a few moments after you enter the temple. With 50 ranks in magic skills I can wear blurs and thats about it.

Muscular Supplicants: Warrior. Flamberge wielders. They hit quite hard on anything below plate (I tend to get a minor if they land a shot on me). They can do a 3 hit focus mstrike with no extra RT. They swing in about 6 second intervals. They can also shake stuns. Just leg/disarm them and they're cake.

Emaciated Hierophants: Rangers. They can cast spikethorn and a few other irritating spells. If they cast, hide and ambush them. Again they can shake stuns, so just keep on top of them.

Hunch-backed Dogmatist: Clerics. The worst of the three critters in the temple. They cast a variety of clerical spells, including distract, spiritual dispel, and a few attack spells (which will ward you, and most likely kill you in a few hits). They can walk around with Wall of Force up, pushing their Offensive DS into the high 300s. They can also instant rezz upon death, ressurect other dead mobs, and if they happen to kill you, will mutilate your corpse and create a deadly creature called a farlook, making rescue very hairy for people. Keep them stunned. Keep them on their back.

Alternatively head just beyond the temple and go up the slopes for Yetis, Storm Griffins, and lesser griffins. They're a bit older and a bit more challenging. The area is annoying to traverse, but the treasure is miles better. Also, if you want to stay West of the Dragonspine, the only other alternative would be the Rift, which is a pain for rogues around our level.

Hope this helps.

You can hunt lesser minotaurs also, and they should be relatively easy for you.

Blurs is a horribly expensive spell to wear for spellburst purposes...

#mana you can wear=Magic ranks (symbols, miu, ect...)/3

So if you had 50 ranks...you would be able to wear 16 mana worth of spells(rounded down), as in how much mana the spell costs to cast one time.

Self cast spells you know are free.

Spells you have access cost 1/2 price

Colors counts as 601, not 611 so for one outside mana its a good bang for the buck spell

101, 107, 401, 406, 414 are all in known circles and cost 1/2 the mana for spellburst purposes(1, 4, 1, 3, 7 respectively)

503, 509, and 911 all cost the full amount (disks are free)

These are all approxamations, but its best to just start testing it out. Put on spells you know you can wear...then add one more and see if it flies.

For a rogue starting out in a spellburst area like the skull temple...i'd start by wearing 401, 406, and 414. It is easy enough to hide from the casters, so you might want to forgo the blues and get 503, or 509 as +15 TD isn't likely to save you anyways

You might just want to skip the temple and try the tower, I think 68 is the cut off for being able to get in. The tower isn't spellburst and you can go in lit like a xmas tree. It is a fun place to hunt, but the shrickhen major ewaves will be sure to piss you off on occasion

Thanks for the info! I'll be migrating over to the nations by the weekend for sure, I remember hunting Supplicants back on GS3 I remember them being particulary nasty way back in the day.

Once you get the hang of the temple it's pretty darn easy. Just be extra careful around the grizzled supplicants - those guys are fast , and since they don't stun they can mess you up something fierce with an mstrike if you botch the ambush.

Can supplicants be kneebashed or swept to knock prone easily?

How do daggers do against them if you can hit eyes consistently?

The only skills that count for spell burst are MUI, AS and HP.

Might also be useful to know with 69 ranks between MUI and AS, I can wear all three guards, blues, colors, dim, look, strength and thurfels without popping. Anything more though and it can be quite the fireworks show.

Yeah - I actually didn't hide against them, I'd sweep - because I could sweep in 5 which was fast enough to stance dance against all but the above standard level ones, and then open ambush the head. With a falchion or a longsword.

They're pretty soft - that was a very effective technique. I didn't kneebash, though if it works that actually be superior with the WSPEC bonus (if applicable).

Heirophants are total pushovers, mostly because they'll be the lowest level things in there when and you'll be over level for them when you're able to easily handle the dogmatists.
