Hi All,
More noobish locksmithing questions:
So I've seen a readout from the lm appraise (I think that's it?) verb and I noticed it tells you whether a pick has been repaired, so here's my question:
If you get the lockpick stuck and bend it, does this affect the picking modifier it gives or the durability or both? (by durability I mean does it increase the chance you will snap the pick?)
Same question for if you get your lockpick repaired by an NPC or by someone with the LFM skills, does this decrease the modifier or durability?
Thanks for all the help. Lockpicking is the most fun part of my robes-wearing, incredibly fragile, constantly stancing, running from crowds of 1 or more little Rogue.

Yes.

Yes.
It gets more complicated than this but basically the more damage your pick takes the worse it is in all categories.
Yes.

>Does the system that rewards experience factor in the lower modifier of a bent lockpick? I know you get more experience the closer you are to your theoretical maximum so does this number go down when you have a damaged pick or is it still factored to the maximum of the pick?
Your maxlock when you pick the box is what counts, not what it would have been under some idealised situation.
