I assume this is intentional but when you open cast 703 none of the flares on my runestaff ever go off against any target... Is this intentional?

Correct, only mana flares can trigger on area of effect spells.

If you have enough skill to make it a multi-target effect, it will not trigger. AoE spells do not get runestaff flares, only single-target.

(Dammit, the "seconds" no longer shows up, so I don't know how close I got to simultaneity. <sad>)

And thanks for the clarification that mana flares can happen on AoE spells, Estild; handy to know!

Thanks for the reply. I was 99.99% sure it was intentional but figured I'd ask for clarification. I believe it should be that way given the possibility of 703 becoming my new and only hunting spell if it wasn't that way. lol
