The following update has been made to Mana Spellup. The number of mana control ranks required per use has been lowered from 75 ranks to 25 ranks. All other functionality remains the same.

To say this another way, its one use per 25 ranks of mana control. The calculation of mana control ranks for professions that train in multiple types remains the same.

I also forgot to mention that I also revised the messaging of Mana Spellup to prevent the massive screen scroll that occurred when a player invokes it. The invoking player will still see all of the messaging for the various spells, however, the surrounding players will only see one message now.

Wow! Nice change for everyone! It was fun showing off with Mana Spellup for a while, knowing it was sort of an "exclusive" thing. But now that the shine has worn off a bit, it's great to give a LOT more people access to this very cool ability. And for those trained heavily in mana controls, it offers a very nice reward. All around awesomeness! :)

Thank you! I found that mana spellup scroll jolting. Even after all this time, I couldn't help but think that somebody had died.

Per day -- how does this work exactly, for those of us who just got access to this ability for the first time?

Does using the ability start a 24-hour timer, at the end of which the 24-hour cycle starts fresh?

Or is it a running count somehow? E.g. if I have 2 uses per day, and I use it once and then once again 23 hours later, will I be able to use it once or twice again at hour 24?

Let me make this easier for you and everyone else with an update to MANA! It will now tell you how many total uses you have per day, how many you have used, and how much time is left before your uses reset! Enjoy!

I seem to have a bug where on every mana pulse I get the message:


"You have used the MANA SPELLUP ability 0 out of 1 times for today"


Also any time I use sigil of power. Basically any time I get mana it seems to popup. I assume (and hope) this is not intentional?

Just a guess, maybe has something to do with a script that you're running? Sending the MANA command and hiding the output from you... only it hasn't been updated to hide the last line?

As a side note, and you may already know this, you can use UNHIDE to come out of invisibility.

Can we add 605 to the list of spells since we're working on this? Most rangers use it, and I honestly can't imagine why it shouldn't be included.

That's a pretty strong guess, I'm not sure how the nitty gritty of lich works but that seems logical. Apologies if the problem is on my end, I don't want to waste GM resources trying to find a lich issue! A full investigations will ensue!

I'm going to guess you used one of the spheres from the pouches sold at Duskruin. Those will make you perm invis when dropped.
