(the following was typed before a thought struck me)

Noticed something a little odd with Spirit Servant.

Went AFK for a while. Came back and the servant was gone, but it still showed 2 seconds left on spell active.

Kept watching it and what was happening is that when the timer ran out, it would disappear from spell active, but then immediately come back with 3 seconds left.

This kept going for a while until I stopped bothering to pay attention to it :P

Turns out this isn't a bug, but protection.

I was in an area where my spirit didn't go in with me. I looked outside where it should have been, and it wasn't there.

This is what happened when I stepped outside 15 minutes after the spell would normally have expired...

A dolorous lavaflow spirit arrives in the area, following you.
A dolorous lavaflow spirit fades into ethereal form and wafts away.

As a programmer myself.. pretty cool to see a little into the mechanisms of the person who created 218 :)

It's intentional. It was added to keep them from disappearing with your disarmed weapon.
