I wondered if this could be updated a little.

The first thing I would like is a message other people (and myself perhaps) see when the spell is cast to identify its use. Usually people give you a strange look if you cast 405 at them, since it looks the same as a hindered spell and shows only that I gesture at them.

The other is, like the way container sizes were recently updated, to look at the information from spell durations. The binning has like "great amount of time" for something like any duration over an hour, and lots of finer binnings for values lower than this. I'd definitely like to know if someone has 1 hour versus 4 hours of a spell when I use 405 at them.

I know 405 could generally use more love, particularly since we have SPELL ACTIVE. And I know there's ;waggle but I almost never use it on other people, and prefer to do it manually with 405 and my incanting. Maybe that's because I've never gotten waggle set up in a sane way, and it seems to bork multi-incanting too much. Either way, that's a third party software, and it would be nice if 405 was a little more informative from a strictly game perspective.

So if any one else wants to really give some more meaningful suggestions to 405, that'd also be welcome. But these requests are pretty trivial and wouldn't take a ton of time or debate to resolve.

I'd like it if 405 showed if an item is enhancive or not. Even better to show the enhancive information.

Not a huge deal since bards can easily see it and simply wearing an item will show if your stats or skills are enhanced. But it would be nice for those extra mana/hp/stam point/recovery items.

Well, as far as mechanical effects...

Let's ditch the odeir'cos rune and allow 405 to do this too, at least if you know 14 ranks in Sorcerer Base.

Thinking about this more. Maybe 405 just needs a new direction.

Why not allow SPELL ACTIVE <PLAYER> give us spell durations, with say mana control ranks? More in a sphere, more spells you see, etc. We can keep the function on 405, but this would just further deprecate 405. But it would also, as I prefer, bump, once again, the value of 405 as a spell and suggest it's further update.

I DO like 405. I rarely waggle anyone but good friends, and I 405 people on any character I have that knows it instead. So funny because people are so often confused what I gestured at them for...

Food for thought. If I get any actually good ones, you'll be the first to know.

I would like to be able to read spirit spells on imbeds. I can read them on a person so I'm not sure why on an item it is so hard.

Imbeds are usually not worth much and I don't want to bug a bard for this piddly crap but I also don't think wasting charges is a great solution. This type of thing seems to be a -major purpose- of 405 but it's only 30% effective, which is annoying.
