So a while back this was posted:

Oscuro gestures.
A black ball full of pinpoints of light quickly forms before Oscuro. When the ball grows so large that he can barely control it, he unleashes the dark cloud before him and it instantaneously spreads throughout the entire room!
The starry void envelops you!
CS: +380 - TD: +225 + CvA: +14 + d100: +10 - +20 == +159
Warding failed!
You are pulled against your will into the void! The world around you instantly disappears! An open expanse of black broken by tiny pinpoints of light surrounds you as you tumble about in empty space. Amorphous nebulae of pink, blue, purple and green swirl passed as you writhe around with nothing to hold onto. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, you are yanked back to the familiar world of Elanthia. Apparently, no time has elapsed since your departure as you find yourself staring at the scene you left earlier. The only souvenirs from your journey are a sick feeling in your stomach and a powerful sense of vertigo.

If I had to guess, I'd guess the target was a hobbit and it's just getting the +20 that non-elemental CS spells get.

But it is a good question, are there any plans to implement racial Td bonuses for mental?

Since you're reading it, algebraically, yes: you are getting a minus (penalty) of positive twenty, in the same way that CvA is expressed only without the explanatory acronym and colon (CS: or TD: or CvA: or d100:).
(Everything before the "- +20" adds up to 179, yet the final result is only 159.)

.

There are already races that have stat bonuses to Elemental and Spirit stats, or just flat warding bonuses (or penalties, like Elvenkind) in a couple of cases. Why not bonuses/penalties for mental cases? :)

Yes, as certain stats will definitely help resist mental spells. However, not with a traditional modifier that you see above. For that log, the spell system had not yet been updated for mental spells (so it defaulted to another type).

Pretty sure stunties and 'lings only get the non-ETD bonus to sorc spells because sorc spells are 1/2 Elemental. Thus they get 1/2 the natural TD benefit.

Could be wrong, but I don't think either race gets any benefit to Spiritual TD.

Ideas as to the TD stat? DIS and/or INF?

I thought this too, and originally had it worded that I thought they'd hijacked the sorc circle to pattern the mental circle after, but I checked Krakii before posting and it stated the following, so I went with it.

>>TD Bonuses
>>Most of this information is outdated or inaccurate, and there's likely a good bit missing.
>>Halflings: +40 elemental TD, +30 sorcerer TD, +20 spiritual TD, poison and disease bonuses (exact amount unknown)

Course it was only after checking it a second time that I noticed the "most of this information is inaccurated" line.

Is it just me or do elves make the worst all around mechanical race? Only thing I find them doing well is being a rogue/locksmith, a bard (kind of) and possibly a wizard. Not even sure they make a good open rogue.

They take all kinds of hits to stats...

Two things for swingers I've found elves to be grand at.

They can aim claids/lances quick[er] because of their combined dex/agi and they can aim for heads/necks when gnomes and halflings with similar dex/agi can't - that's huge.

Also, pure elves make insane bards with their INF and compliment of other stats. 1005 + pure elf INF = totally incapacitated creature.
