As a bolting spiritualist I have some simple suggestions.
Let's put a new bolt spell in combo with 125 kind of how 118 has evolved to be a bolt/area spell. I could see unlocking a bolt version after X amount of lore that allows you to target a cloud of electric shock that you hurl at the critter. It could expand outward with enough training kind of like Fire Spirit.
I suggest this change because if the idea is "bolting should be an option for all spiritualists", I feel 2 spells (2.5 for clerics) doesn't compare to the bolts available to wizards.
Here are two suggestions unrelated to bolting:
Let us increase the duration of wall of force by a fraction with dedication to the study of spiritual lores. I could be pouring all my TPs spent on lores into harness power instead, but I would have as many nifty tricks. I think 1 sec per 3 ranks would not create an unbalance, but rather further reward players for heavy dedication to the sphere.
Implement a flag system that prevents people from locating someone when he or she is dead (a flag that only functions when a person is dead). I usually wear unpresence because that's how I like my character to be. I think that death mechanics prevent me from staying out from under the eyes of nosy people. This one, I'm sure, will generate some discussion. It's just something I would like to see implemented across the board. The Simu/GS environment encourages roleplay, but you don't necessarily have to interact with others all the time to play a role; in fact, someone like myself may play the role of a hard-to-find adventurer, or a friend who keeps his distance. In the case of death many times, the mechanics force us to be interactive, especially if we don't want to depart immediately. It also saves an eager cleric a trip out there just to hear "no thanks, I'm just going to rot".
