I guess my greatest issue is that I build my Warrior for Voln Fu, One hand shield, etc. With the changes, he has a bunch of brawling and is at his 22nd step of voln. BUT major changes have to be made now. I haven't decided which route to go, so have been playing a monk to see if I like it - perhaps convert him to monk when possible. Frankly, I don't want to lose the Warriors Guild trains either tho.

So, I guess I really just need to study UAC mechanics and armor and perhaps retrain him as an UAC Voln Warrior and complete his Voln training. (I really think that the changes to Voln have just shifted it further from the warrior classes - which is odd considering that a great part of Voln, as I saw it, was to release the Undead.) Ah well...

The Voln powers were shifted in what they did: rather than being a primary form of combatting the undead directly (kick, et cetera), they are now enablers that work for any profession's Character Manager skills. The primary way of actually getting the kill will now be your trained skills (weapon for Arms users, spell for casters) rather than use of the societal ability.

This is a direct correlation with how the other Societies' abilities work: you trigger them off when needed for the situation--like 'going out on a hunt' so you put up your AS/DS/DF/no-bleeding buffs, or (now) in Voln to make the undead vulnerable/bless your weapon/cause them some damage--rather than for every single swing in combat (like Voln Fu used to be).
