If items can still be stacked on shop tables to a maximum of 50 identical items in one slot, and you can group like items into jars that hold 50 maximum...can you only put one of that type of jar onto the table since it already has the maximum allowable stack? Or, for example, can you take one jar holding 50 ayanad crystals and stack 49 more jars holding the same?

This is actually not strictly true. I have stacked full jars of alchemy reagents before. SOMETIMES they stack, and SOMETIMES they do not. The shop mistress is a fickle one. I hope Varluv keeps working her backend =X

Get a jar that you plan to use only for processing ingredients for other jars (your "processing jar"), preferably a 50 count jar with a unique description. When you have your items, place them in your processing jar. Then empty your processing jar into the target jar. Then empty the target jar into your processing jar. Then empty the processing jar back into the target jar. After all that, your target jar will stack.

It doesn't look like simple iterative emptying really does the trick so I'd like to clarify:
The target jar should be one that hasn't held any gems yet and the processing jar can have any history (with respect to contents) whatsoever?
