<<I have no vested interest in player-run shops but would it be possible to allow town gurus to make a one time sweep for unused deeds / empty shops / shops that are attached to accounts that have been inactive for 2+ years and either raffle, auction, or distribute them in some other fashion?

No, it is not feasible.

i'm still wondering how fusion worked fine in player shops (on look descriptions) and then suddenly fusion had no show in player shops. definitely impacted my fusion resales but now we got a permanent fusion shop i guess that fix is no longer high priority...>>
A change was made to the look mechanics in the fusion scripts to fix some bugs. This was not compatible with the way playershops handle the look mechanics of certain items.
<<This project seems to be the GM-slayer.>>
Just the one so far.
To be completely open, the new version just needs to be run through testing and release. That requires someone to get up to speed on the system and get it going.
I had a hope for it, but they have changed teams and are no longer available for the job.
I don't want to sound like a complete downer here, so I will say we have new people in GSL training now.

Keep up the hard work! The rumors were that more than one GM had tried to fix the shops, but hearsay is what it is.
Glad to know some good progress was made.

The fusion script was updated to use a compatible system for ALL other systems. Unfortunately, it's not set up to work in the current phase of player shops. Reverting fusion back to working with player shops would mean they would no longer work properly with enchants, blesses, and a handful of other systems.

Knowing pretty much nothing about GSL and how things work behind the scenes, I might be just shooting blind here. Would it be possible to add something to the SHOW of fusion? Or perhaps adding something to a "look IN item" that would show that there are "1/2/3 empty sockets for orbs"? Just a random spark of an idea.
Malikh runs around in little circles, nodding his head so that the wings of his yellow duck hat flap in the wind. Does he think he is going to fly or something?

That's certainly possible. Fusion in general is being reviewed, so I'm sure we'll get some quality of life features placed in somewhere.

So when fusion gets the nerf-hammer we all know that we have Rolfard to blame! :p

Well, sorcerers will actually get an innate ability to be able to absorb fusion orbs and permanently gain their effects. Pretty sure it uses a seed 1 summation on Sorcerous Lore, Necromancy. The skin around the insertion point will rot though and show up in your features.

Please say this is a joke...if I have to walk through town avoiding a bunch of Frankenstein zombie looking sorcerers I think I'll get sick to my IC stomach.

Years of sorcerer tears have made no room for jokes, I'm afraid. However, if you train in Sorcerous Lore - Demonology with an imp present in the room, you can gain the upper hand and prevent jokes from ever happening.

I tested this out and it turns out that this only works if you train with the imp present while in a Summoning Chamber.

So I'm behind the times I was trying to help someone use my website to search pshops for fusion gear and.... IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE.
Seriously. Okay, I get the thing where you HAD to update fusion, but 4 months ago someone posted an idea to simply add something else to fusion gear so it is, you know, at all discernible from regular gear. Look in, read, examine, something?
As an aside, Wyrom, what is the odds, with fusion 1.0 being deprecated, that you'd be able to fix rot flares to work with it?

Not sure how likely. Fusion's subscript is the issue.
