Did you watch the debate?
Like most observers, I think the most important moment was when all of the Republican candidates said they would veto a deficit reduction bill that was 10 to 1 spending cuts to revenue increases. I expect whoever gets the nomination will try to wiggle out of that promise during the general election.
For me, the best moment of the debate was when Santorum said that abortion should be illegal in cases of rape. That, it has always seemed to me, is the only logical conclusion for those who believe that the government has the power to compel women to be pregnant. If you believe that abortion is murder, then it's not logical to authorize the murder of a child because the child's father was a rapist.
Politifact checked the candidate statements factually. If you look at the meters on the right of the Politifact page, you'll see that the only time they weren't lying was when they were saying bad things about each other.
