Seeking the services of a master forger who can build me a perfect eonake lance (or other santified material for Pali use). Minimum of 4x...higher would be nicer. "Sanctified" is key, as this will be for my Pali.

If you have your own slabs, this will become easier. If not, this becomes harder because not all forgers have these (rarish) slabs.
I also suggest getting the perfect in steel because a) Paladins can sanctify their own weapon and b) ease of enchanting it further later on (after 4x).

I'll grant you there should be a reason, beyond enchant, to use magic metals.
With that said.. I'll continue trying for my perfect pitchfork.

In a world filled with rune covered, blood splattered, gore laden, golvern/eahnor/mithglin/vaalorn/veil iron weapons, i find my worn out steel weapons to have more style than most people's weapons.
That's like saying a barb wire/tribal tattoo on your arm is a display of your individuality.

A fair point, but who said anything about runes, blood spattering and gore? I guess I just see it as a fantasy realm, if some of the above mentioned "rare" metals were actually rare, that would help.

To be fair to the system . . . once upon a time those metals were "rare" . . . What doesn't help is that the majority of the population thats left playing are the players who collected the rare metals. :-P If we still had evenings and nights where 1000-3000 people were logged into the realm, I'm sure that the aforementioned weapons would be a lot smaller percentage of the weapons seen as compared to nights we do have and there are only like 150 people total.
I do have a question though, having largely ignored the crafting system with all my characters, whats the benefit to having a perfectly forged weapon over say something thats not player made? I was looking through someones sales the other day, and noticed that they were pricing perfectly forged weapons at a pretty nice premium. So if someone could explain, or point me towards an explaination, I would appreciate it. I'd love to understand.

To make it simple non player forged weapon are suppose to be limited to base weapon AvD's and damage factors.So a perfect weapon when all +'s and -'s are done in the combat formula is +3 AvD better and 6% higher damage factor for its weapon type over merchant weapons,merchant weapons with forging bonuses added are suppose to be auction or raffle quality only
