I'd like to see greater training allow a Ranger to manipulate the vine with greater finesse.

Training in Spiritual Lore: Blessings, mean the ranger "'s knowledge and understanding of various prayers, rituals, and invocations used to beseech the lesser and greater spirits" allow the ranger to command the vine to either garrote or bear hug the target instead of just lashing out mindlessly at the target.

It just seems that a well trained ranger would have the power to almost animate the vine.
