That looks vaguely familiar. Are the stormcrows mage type critters? It sounds almost like a failed temporal reversion spell from the attacker's POV.

And speaking of subdue reps, is there a list of subduable (is that a real word?) creatures somewhere? I tried Google but I probably didn't set the search parameters properly. Didn't get what I wanted.
