So I'm thinking about coming back to the game. I just don't play anymore and am thinking of converting my warrior over to make a ranged Monk. Was hoping to get some opinions to see if I'm missing anything before I click the button as Im fairly bad at mechanics. I've read through this folder and over at PC so I'm hopefully not entirely useless.
Society is GoS, maybe 1 rank short of master if I remember right and I hunt camps almost exclusively.
Race is Elf
At level 43
Ranged 2x
CM 1.5x
PF 3x
Dodge 3x
Perception 2x
Harness 25 ranks (.6x)
Spells to 1220
Transformation lore 15 ranks
Cman:
3 ranks Combat focus
2 ranks Evade Mastery
3 ranks slippery mind
3 ranks Surge
Stats at 0 43:
STR 82 96
CON 70 83
DEX 80 94
AGL 70 91
DIS 70 83
AUR 60 74
LOG 75 87
INT 60 74
WIS 73 82
INF 20 43
If I'm figuring it correctly my strength + surge + wiz strength will give me min rt on a longbow.
Any help is appreciated.

I'd pick up at least 1x in S&H as well, even if you have to drop CM down to 1x to get it. Since you're not going to be wearing armor it'll be helpful to be able to pop into the shadows to make an escape if you start to get overwhelmed, plus you can keep attacking from the shadows without coming out of hiding if you want (esp if you pick up some ambush).
With 3x in Dodge you shouldn't notice the lose in that .5x in CM and, looking over the CMs available to monks, there really aren't any CMs that are very helpful for someone that uses archery (mfire is useless). A couple ranks in Surge would be help reduce yer RT and several of the martial stances would be useful but you can only use one of those at a time... and I can see how duck and weave would be handy in a warcamp.
Let me know how you fare as a monk archer. It seems like warcamps would be awfully difficult without sniping from the shadows.

Perfect Self would be nice for an archer .. or for any monk. It went from a mid level pickup to low level must have for my monk. As for your training, everything seems in order. Personally I might drop down PF to 2x and pick up some minor spirit ranks and/or ml: transform (up to 30 ranks at 50 which will get you into torso chain 1202, though you have time to pick that up anyway). I'm gonna guess you have access to minor spells.
I can't make my mind up on slippery mind or inner harmony, if rank 3 iharmony was any good I'd go with it.

Here's my ranged monk at 59:
2x ranged
1x CM
25 MoC
2.5x PF/Dodge
2x perception
1x first aid, survival
0.5x HP (30 ranks)
20 spirit/mental
30 climb/swim
It works pretty well in camps (I go with my brother) but if I get cast at I could be in some serious trouble. My goal is to start using all my spare PTPs to pick up armor until 100 ranks. That way I can use augmented chain with a maneuver reduction or, if I don't plan to cast, swap into MBP. 1202 is nice and all, but it's worthless against our biggest weakness - CS.

First, thank you all for the input, I'm looking it over and trying to.figure out what I plan.
Second, Ive seen a ton of mention about monks training armor because of cva issues, yet almost no mention of combat focus which is equal to mbp in terms of the casting advantage. Am I missing something on that or is bang for buck not worth it?

Yeah I'm probably going to pick up focus with the points I save from not training krynch. Originally I had planned to have 1 defensive and 1 offensive stance (or more) but now I think I'm just gonna go with a defensive stance all the time. As for armor training, I'm not going that route .. I detest dealing with spell failure more than I do dealing with TD problems (and the penalties to maneuvers).
